Bharata Vaaridhi is a unique national initiative dedicated to celebrating the extraordinary literary and musical brilliance of His Excellency Sri Jaya Chamarajendra Wadiyar — the visionary monarch, philosopher, patron of the arts, and the last ruling Maharaja of the historic Kingdom of Mysuru.
His profound contributions to literature and Carnatic music, especially his timeless Kritis for Bharatanatyam and classical vocal compositions, continue to guide and inspire artists across India.
On 26 April 2026, Bengaluru will witness an unprecedented cultural milestone at the National College Grounds, where 5,000 Bharatanatyam dancers from across India will perform four of the Maharaja’s iconic Kritis in a grand, synchronised offering of devotion, discipline, and artistic brilliance.
This landmark presentation aims to set a World Record, marking the largest Bharatanatyam performance ever showcased in Karnataka.
With over 15 years of dedicated service to the performing arts, these institutions have trained more than 10,000 dancers and presented performances at State, National, and International festivals — including prestigious stages supported by the Government of Karnataka.
Their commitment to nurturing young dancers forms the foundation of Bharata Vaaridhi.
For the first time ever, 5,000 dancers will perform together, with more than 15,000 spectators expected to witness this historic moment as we create a World Record.
We warmly invite:
Dancers • Teachers • Rasikas • Cultural Patrons • Art Lovers
to join hands in making Bharata Vaaridhi a global cultural landmark.
Together, let us honour our heritage, celebrate our classical roots, and create a legacy for generations to come.
